"No More Fake Smiles is an important part of our world. As parents to 6 children and 8 grandchildren, the safety of our children and every child in the world is a cause we are very passionate about. As human beings we must face the confronting and devastating issue of child sexual abuse with the same courage and strength of abuse survivors. Every child deserves protection from abuse, maltreatment and exploitation, and to grow up under safe and effective care so they can have the best outcomes in life. No More Fake Smiles is run by Tracey and Annie who have been personally affected by the horror of child sexual abuse - now they are dedicated to making this world a safer place for our children. We are so proud to support No More Fake Smiles and the important work of this charity. It takes a village to raise a child but it takes an army to keep children safe. Please join us - together we can make a difference."
Annie Jones / Creative Director
Annie is co-founder of no more fake smiles with her mum, Tracey. At 21 years of age, she has the vocabulary and mannerisms of any young woman poised to take hold of life and give it a shake. However, underneath the exuberance of youth is a tower of strength, resilience, and fortitude, one which belies the terrible experiences and weighty role she now willingly devotes herself to. Annie graduated Year 12 in 2018 with great results, despite having been through the final phase of a three-year criminal court case in the NSW justice system. Whilst Annie has continued her life as 'normal' as possible throughout her teenage years; she has not been spared from mental health issues. Having masked her own abuse from the world, she realised 'the problem was so much bigger than me, I wanted to help other people in my situation.' No More Fake Smiles was born, a place she dreamt of finding throughout her years of abuse. Annie is undertaking a dual degree in Bachelor of Criminology & Justice and Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Tracey Morris / Managing Director
Tracey is a successful businesswoman and mother of four who has adapted her corporate experience to co-found No More Fake Smiles with her daughter Annie. Following her firsthand experience of family trauma and the NSW criminal justice system, Tracey's passion lies with helping families live through the trauma that her family has experienced. Tracey is passionate to remove the stigma aligned with child abuse in society and is dedicated to raising awareness of the long-term effects of child sexual abuse on the victim and family. Advocacy for the protection and respect of child victims and changes to the judicial system to better protect children are at the forefront of her agenda. Tracey is undertaking a dual degree in Bachelor of Criminology & Justice and Bachelor of Social Work at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
